Oh man. I'm sorry, mama. I went a good bit late with both mine. I know how hard the waiting is near the end. I'm sorry yr MIL said that to you - that's ridiculous!!

I cant even honestly imagine what it must be like to be overdue.. I know how miserable I was at 35 weeks (the furthest Ive ever made it in a pregnancy. Unfortunately I have the opposite issue.. my babies don't want to stay in.. Ive had all mine prematurely at 35, 34 and 32 weeks. Look on the bright side- at least your baby will be healthy and developed and able to room in and come home with you! I had to leave my babies behind twice in NICU.. its heartbreaking to leave empty handed.. but I digress.

And your MIL is WAYYYYY out of line with that comment! Inconveniencing her.. give me a flippin break.. its not like you have ANY control over when baby comes.. some people are just, well, ignorant!

My son was 11 days late so I have definitely been there. The worst was when people would see me and say, have you had the baby yet? I just wanted to say, yes I did have him, but I just loved being pregnant so much that I decided to put him back in for a few more days! It sucks having it be late but look at it as a few extra days to sleep before you have the baby.

That sucks. I hope I don't go overdue with this one, waiting is hard enough at the end of pregnancy. Well, at least you know the baby will be here within the next week or two. Not much longer to wait!

SOOOOO know you're pain, in every sense. My 1st was 2 weeks late and my hubby was thrilled to know that having sex was supposed to help. Some time later, after I'd lost the baby weight and such, we were about to get it on and for some reason he thought it was be funny to mention "the sumo-pose". I asked what the hell that was and he chuckled and said, "well, when you are 2 weeks late...and we can basically only do 1 position...you kind of look like a sumo wrestler!!!" I'm 5 1/2 months along with our 3rd and it's hard to keep from giggling when all I can do is the "sumo-pose" but hey, he still thinks I'm hot, my libido is through the roof so at this point I say who cares.

it sucks when all you want to do is have that baby! with my second kiddo i was stuck at 3centimeters and no contractions and i wanted him out sooo bad, it was the end of august and i was hot and miserable. so every day i would walk about 1/2 mile with the hubby and then we'd go home and have sex, then go walk another 1/2 mi and go home and have sex. we did this for about a week straight. i never thought id hear the words i never want to have sex again out of my hubbys mouth! poor guy, i made him keep going though! i was determined to have that baby! lol. i know its miserable now but it will all be worth it in the end when you are holding that beautiful baby in your arms. good luck mama!

Alrighty, so I'm 3-4 cm and 80% effaced. I have had constant contractions for two days now....and my midwife won't do a thing to help. I feel so bad for my hubby and three year old!! I've not really been the best mom and wife the past week...oy am I ready for this to be over with.

your almost there! dont feel bad for not being as helpful you are getting ready to have a baby....relax and I hope your baby comes soon
