Keeping threads straight.

I've been having a difficult time keeping threads straight when there is replying with the thread, instead of all linearly like the old site. What do ya'll think about having all replies be to the original post instead of to individual responses, that way the posts go in order... I know it is not such a big deal with short threads, but finding my way around in the swine flu thread, for example is dizzying.

Re: Keeping threads straight.

I agree with you I do find it a little bit confusing.

Re: Keeping threads straight.

Is there a way to quote posts that you're replying to? If there is then, yea, I think that's a good idea. I've been "replying" because I am replying to something someone else typed and it would be pretty confusing if I replied to the original post.

So, if there isn't a way to quote, then maybe we could come up with something like just using quotation marks and at the end a little -nameofposterbeingquoted.

Re: Keeping threads straight.

i think that is a great idea cm

Re: Keeping threads straight.

I think C+P'sting with quotation marks works great. I've been meaning to comment on that thread, but it's definitely a little confusing at this point. I will post in the new one soon.

Re: Keeping threads straight.

Yes! I find the same thing.

I think you can do the

thing, can't you? I've done it before, it only indents the first paragraph though for some reason so that sucks. But you could just erase the spaces so it's all one para. Too confusing?

I think if we all only replied to the OP, that wouldn't really allow for conversation.
