Children's Books about Thanksgiving

I know it's early to be thinking about this, but can anyone recommend vegetarian-friendly books about Thanksgiving that aren't racist? My daughter is 2.5yo, so books for little kids are preferred.

Have you tried Molly's Pilgrim?

It's probably a little old for T, but you could try it. Also - it doesn't get into debunking the whole thanksgiving myth at all, but it's a good book nonetheless from what I can remember of it.

Re: Children's Books about Thanksgiving

hey I just typed in Thanksgiving in at barnes and noble ... and one book looks good-- potentially not vegetarian friendly, but it does not look racist-- it's not diverse looking either. "The Night Before Thanksgiving" by Natasha Wing

"The Ugly Pumpkin" by Dave Horowitz looks interesting. It is about a pumpkin that does not get chosen for Halloween, but then at Thanksgiving he learns more about himself and where he belongs. Again, probably not veg-friendly.

"Thanksgiving is for Giving Thanks" by Margeret Sutherland This looks cute

"A Turkey for Thanksgiving" by Eve Bunting This story is about inviting a turkey to thanksgiving dinner

I hope this helps!
