Re: NEW!
Welcome to GM. Being a SAHM is a ton of work. It makes sense to feel resentful sometimes.
I am Charlie. I'm also 21 and I have a four year old.
Re: NEW!
Hey! Welcome to girl-mom. Please make sure to check out the mission statement and the stickies. Hope to see you around.
Re: NEW!
Welcome!
I'm 22, Canadian mama to a 3-year-old, and expecting my 2nd this spring. I like to think I'm kinda badass.
I found that until I had DD I was pretty directionless as well. After she was born it took awhile, but eventually I realized I had to be in school too, and chose the program that I enjoyed the most. We'll see where it leads!
Re: NEW!

Re: NEW!
Hey, and welcome to the boards
I'm Cristi, 25 yr old mama to two
If you feel the urge to go back to school, then by all means, look into it! Look into info about aid, loans, look into what you're interested in. I've finally gone to college now, and it's so tough, but I'm loving it
Re: NEW!
I'm Ashleigh, 20yr old single mama to my 7month old son.
I wish I could be a SAHM soooo bad but I wouldn't be able to afford it. I stay busy with work, school, and baby though =]

Re: NEW!
Welcome to GM! I am Lauren. I am a single 22 year old mom to almost 7 year old twins. I had them when I was 15.
I am a full time student and loving it. I took some time off of school to work and take care of kids. Right now I am in my second year and its great.
If you think you should go to school, I say do it! There are so many grants and scholarships available for moms.
Re: NEW!
Well thank you guys for the warm welcomes!
I am definitely going to start looking into grants and things of that nature. My main problem, I think, is trying to figure out what I want to do. In high school I was a really good student, went to a CC at 16, and when I got there I just lost direction. I had no idea what I wanted to do, so I felt like I had no goal, no motivation, couldn't see the finish line kind of thing, ya know? In high school, it's all about the diploma, so that was easy. I couldn't grasp the concept of getting my general out of the way in the meantime.
But now, I think I'll just be happy for any excuse to get out of the house, and maybe even, like, meet people. That's an odd concept for me... It's been inspiring for me to see all these schooling and working mamas on here, especially those that are younger than me. You guys rock!
Re: NEW!
Hey dita, I'm a 23 year old about to graduate undergrad, 14 wks pregnant and just trying to regain some motivation to keep goin. I wonder if anyone on here could give you more directions into getting grants and such, I'm completely lost when it comes to that stuff. Hope to hear from you around the boards!
