Blame the Cat?So we have a fish bowl with (formerly) 2 goldfish in it. Well, today when we got home, one of the fish had dissappeared. No evidence of foul play. I thought if my cat were the culprit, there might be water splashed around, plants knocked out, etc. But no, the only evidence is a missing goldfish. Weird. Don't know who would steal a goldfish though, other than a cat.

Re: Blame the Cat?
I've heard of goldfish eating each other before... Does the remaining one look really full?
Re: Blame the Cat?
really? It is a lot bigger than the other one was... that would be super weird.
Re: Blame the Cat?
Yeah, it does sound weird and I've never had it happen, but I've heard of it happening quite a bit.
Re: Blame the Cat?
we had a frog disappear for like a month once and then reappear- we called him lazarus. he disappeared again later and even though we've moved twice and no longer have frogs i sometimes wonder if he'll show up. So ya know keep hopin' lol
Re: Blame the Cat?
They will eat eachother. Happened to one of my fish once
Re: Blame the Cat?
My cat stole my son's siamese fighting fish. And the cat hid the evidence, which I found later that day. There was no evidence of foul play either. No water, no splash, no tipped over bowl. I told my son his fish ran away. He beleived me (hes 5....and would have been devestated).
Re: Blame the Cat?
My husband was told as a kid his pet hampster was run over- they lived in the country near a highway and they were very used to losing pets that way.
