Hey there, I'm Kyrie, 23 yr old mama to Abhainn (nearly 3) and Fearghus (7 months). I joined Girlmom when I was 17 after a pregnancy that ended in miscarriage. I haven't been around since the unfortunate end of the previous boards, but I see a lot of familiar names here and I'm glad to be back. I'm an older mama ally now, and happy to provide support

An update for you, Adcaela....we moved to a new city when Abhy was 7 or 8 months old and I went back to school. I am now an apprentice pastry chef or, I would be if I was working, but I didn't go back after Fearg was born. I am doing some under-the-table work from home (cakes and catering), and have been super busy this summer baking pastries and artisan breads for a local farmer's market. I'm looking for another child for part-time daycare. We moved in to an incredible housing co-operative. My SO is a third year carpenter now, but employment has been really shaky here. He has been laid off four times since last summer; construction sites have been closing around town. Things are picking up now, and the job he is at is guaranteed until next March, which is comforting. We're sort of scrambling around to make a living, but we're happy.

My kids are awesome. Fearghus was born at home in February, and Abhy has been a pretty great big brother. Not as much regression or jealousy as I expected. They are vastly different children - that I DIDN'T expect. I'm loving having two, so far.
