Meet the New ModSquad!Heya Everybody, I am stepping down after three years of modding and site producing. It has been really great and I love this space a ton. I need to make some space though for my ridiculously busy upcoming semester though. Lucky for all of you, Girlmom has an awesome new site prducer and a spankin' new modsquad! The Girlmom site producer is Naivete and the ModSquad are Momniptotent, Momtobe19, and CanadianMamma. Why don't you rocking mamas reintroduce yourselves?

Dont be fooled by my name. I have had it since I have been on this site. ( which is a long time because I am almost 25). I had my son J when I was 19. I was a mother to be in an abusive relationship with no support system. This site helped me alot through the toddler years and it still does. I officially have a kindergardner this year and I have 2 step children as well.
I am happy to be helpful and look foward to getting to know everyone again.

A little about me: I'm mama to an amazing 3-year-old girl, and expecting my second in April. I live in southern Ontario, where I'm a full-time university student. I'm still in shock that I turned 22 this month and expect to get over it sometime before my next birthday.
My hope is to share support and encouragement and to help maintain all the amazing things that make GirlMom special, and to watch it continue to grow.

I've been a mod for quite a while, but haven't been very active since we got back up and running. For those of you who don't know me, I'm Alicia, 26 year old mama to two boys and a girl. They are 9, 6 and 5.

Hey all
I'm Cristi, 25 and mama to a soon to be 6 year old Treyton, and 2 year old Theodore. I live in Calgary, work for an oil & gas co. and am returning for my second year this fall for college, taking a GIS/drafting type course. I do a lot of local volunteer work, I mentor at risk aboriginal kids, and my main focus is indigenism, land claims, treaty violations and aboriginal history in colonialist countries.

Hey everybody! I'm Danielle, mom to Alexa who is 5 and in kindergarten now, and Blake who will be 2 in 2 weeks! I came to girlmom when I was 16 and pregnant, and i stuck around. Girlmom totally changed my views on breastfeeding, and I was introduced to attachment parenting and cloth diapering thru this site. I breastfed my DD until she was 3, and my DS only until he was 18 months. My DS also has some special needs, he has low muscle tone and was very late to walk, now he gets PT through early intervention.
I work per-diem as a receptionist in a pediatric doctors office, and I am hoping to re-start paramedic school in the spring. I'm also an EMT for a volunteer ambulance service one night a week.
When I'm not working, I enjoy being outside, going for hikes, camping, bike riding, vegetarian food, sewing and knitting.
