My poor baby! All 3 of my kids are sick, so I took them to the dr today. Ian and Aidan are ok and just have a little head cold, although Aidan's ears are a little red so we were told to give him some benadryl to dry them up. Kiara is another story. She's already a bad mood because she has 2 teeth that have started to poke through, her first ones! Well on top of it she has a bad ear infection, a yeast infection, thrush, and mild RSV!!!! My poor little baby! She's only 8 months old! That's a whole lot to deal with at her age, but man is she a little trooper. She's just been cuddlely, but she is still happy! Her RSV is very mild so we just have to watch out for signs that she's worsening. She's been sick since Friday EARLY morning. The Dr didn't even test her because it is so mild and I guess the test is kinda painful for them (something involving a tube down her throat or nose I think) and she said it doesn't matter because there is no treatment, so why put her through all of that when its not really horrible right now. She's had a diaper rash, or so I thought for about a week first. She had that first. I was putting the desatin on her like 4 times a day and it wasn't getting better, so I said that if it wasn't better by tues or weds I take her in, well her being so sick made me do it anyways. So I told Dr. Robin that I thought it was a yeast infection and she agreed. When the dr was looking in her mouth I happened to see something that looked white in the corner of her mouth. I told her and she looked at it and agreed with me that it was thrush, but because of the amoxacillin she said that the rx stuff for the thrush wouldn't be effective. So she gave us the purple stuff (the name is on the tip of my tounge and I can't remember it. Its driving me up the wall I can't remember it though!) and I had to put it on my nipples since I'm still nursing her (YEAH!!!!!! I'm so proud of us for that one!). But she didn't tell me what to watch for if I get it or if either of us need it again. The thrush was very mild and it wasn't there early this morning. I know that for sure because I was looking at her teeth. Anyone know if I need to do them again? And what to look for on my nipples if I get it. My poor baby! She's such a trooper though!
