Cleaning RoutineMan, someone once told me that cleaning while having little kids in the house is like shoveling while it's snowing. I can't seem to keep my house clean for the life of me. It seems like whenever I'm cleaning, she's making a mess somewhere else. I try to get her to do chores with me. I try to wear her in the sling while I do chores. I even try to do them when she's asleep (but she's a shitty sleeper so vacuuming? Running the dishwasher? In my tiny apartment - no way.) So how do you all do it?

i don't. Not quite. I clean
I do about the same thing. I

Cleaning ugghh... I get my kids to help with the things that involve them like putting the cups and plates in the dishwasher when they are finished using them and putting their clothes in the hamper when they are dirty.. Like the PPs kid they just need reminding lol… I think if you make a routine to “tidy” up the general areas where clutter seems to build daily then the big job of “cleaning the house” becomes less daunting I work fulltime and so does my husband so things can get quite hectic. I as other people said try and leave little for my husband to do so he can get involved in the bigger jobs like mowing the grass and fixing the garden jobs that take a little longer. I also put a list together of what needs to be done and cross them off as I go along the kids find this fun also cause they like to complete “missions” for me and I give them a treat when we are finished
I do a little bit of tidying
I do a little bit of tidying everyday, the loud things while the kids are up... and then on Saturday or Sunday... depending on school work, I do a big clean of the bathroom... and all of the extras.
I'm no Martha, thats for sure, but it makes the household functional!

I can't keep up at all and he's not even moving and making his own mess, it's just me lol. I try so hard but with work and school, once he's sleeping and I look around and see clothes that need to be put away and washed, bottles to be washed, and the last thing I want to do is clean- I just want sleep lol.

Yeah, probably if I had a routine stuff would get done, eh? LOL!
