Cleaning Routine

Man, someone once told me that cleaning while having little kids in the house is like shoveling while it's snowing. I can't seem to keep my house clean for the life of me. It seems like whenever I'm cleaning, she's making a mess somewhere else. I try to get her to do chores with me. I try to wear her in the sling while I do chores. I even try to do them when she's asleep (but she's a shitty sleeper so vacuuming? Running the dishwasher? In my tiny apartment - no way.) So how do you all do it?

i don't. Not quite. I clean

i don't. Not quite. I clean a little bit every day and then one day a week while Cae is at school I do a more thorough cleaning. I run the dishwasher every day or every other day. I load the dishes as I use them and then just start it whenever it is full.

I do about the same thing. I

I do about the same thing. I do what I can, then once a week we do a major cleaning. Usually during the weekends though so Ian can clean his room up and help with his bathroom. I do laundry when the baskets get full. Ian and Aidan have one, we have one, and Kiara has her own. Then with dishes I also load it up and I use them and then run it when its done. I've kinda resigned myself that my house is never going to be clean, and I'm horrible at cleaning anyways and hate it with a passion. We do the clean up song though for the boys to get them to clean their room up, and whatever mess they make around the house. They are required to clean their own messes up- toys, trash, putting dishes in the sink when they are done, etc.

I really dislike

I really dislike cleaning! When I was staying at home, it wasn't to big of an issue, but now that I am working full-time, I am really struggling to find time to do anything around the house. I guess I just get what I can done, and save some of the bigger chores for the weekend. I find that maintaing good "tidying" habits help...that way, it dosn't take long when I have to do things like vaccum, or clean the bathrooms, because I dont have to pick things up. Julian is expected to clean up after himself. He has been since he was around 2. He does a pretty good job, he just needs to be reminded...lol. I share cleaning responsibilities with my husband, as well....however i try to leave as little as possible for my husband to do. The bigger chores involve cleaning up after pets. I have a guinea pig, and I have rats...and those cages take a while to clean every week.

Cleaning ugghh... I get my

Cleaning ugghh... I get my kids to help with the things that involve them like putting the cups and plates in the dishwasher when they are finished using them and putting their clothes in the hamper when they are dirty.. Like the PPs kid they just need reminding lol… I think if you make a routine to “tidy” up the general areas where clutter seems to build daily then the big job of “cleaning the house” becomes less daunting I work fulltime and so does my husband so things can get quite hectic. I as other people said try and leave little for my husband to do so he can get involved in the bigger jobs like mowing the grass and fixing the garden jobs that take a little longer. I also put a list together of what needs to be done and cross them off as I go along the kids find this fun also cause they like to complete “missions” for me and I give them a treat when we are finished

I do a little bit of tidying

I do a little bit of tidying everyday, the loud things while the kids are up... and then on Saturday or Sunday... depending on school work, I do a big clean of the bathroom... and all of the extras.

I'm no Martha, thats for sure, but it makes the household functional! Smile

cleaning routine =

cleaning routine = nonexistent for me. if it gets done, great. if not, it doesn't. LOL.

I can't keep up at all and

I can't keep up at all and he's not even moving and making his own mess, it's just me lol. I try so hard but with work and school, once he's sleeping and I look around and see clothes that need to be put away and washed, bottles to be washed, and the last thing I want to do is clean- I just want sleep lol.

Yeah, probably if I had a

Yeah, probably if I had a routine stuff would get done, eh? LOL!
