Apartment needs (priv. trigger)

My boyfriend and I are moving into our own place March 1st and I'm just wondering what things we might need for the house. The kitchen comes with appliances and we have some stuff my mom had stored for me when we moved in with my gma, but I don't know what else we might want to get. The only things I know we definitely don't have and might want are a couch and a vaccuum, but those aren't things we NEED and I'm just checking craigslist and stuff to find something cheap.
Anything you mamas use that I might not have thought of?

things like knives and dishes. I still need a ladle... like months after moving. and you know, things like pot holders and ice trays. I think it's the little things that add up and make getting your own place daunting...

cleaning

cleaning supplies towels dishes utensils shower curtain & other misc. bathroom stuff (plunger, toilet cleaner) spices blankets, sheets, pillows if you can't get a vacuum right now, I'd get a broom & dustpan for now There are a lot of things you don't realize you'll need until you are living in a new apartment. It's also a slow process, you don't need everything but the basics when you start off. I've been slowly getting the things I need over many years. Have fun in your new apartment!
