Medical Transcription?

Does/has anyone worked done medical transcription? I met a woman who does medical transcription from home, makes her own hours - though it doesn't pay super well. She says that you can get your certification through an online course. It all sounded pretty good to me; has anyone done this?

I've been looking at correspondence schools for certification for one that's affordable and has a relatively slow pace. It doesn't sound like exciting work, but if it gives us a second income while I can stay home, it'd be a pretty good fit.
