My daughter brought home A Turkey For Thanksgiving by Eve Bunting from her school library. Very cute book and vegetarian-friendly!

The books starts out with Mr. and Mrs. Moose setting the Thanksgiving table for their friends. Mrs. Moose states that it just wouldn't be Thanksgiving without a turkey. So off Mr. Moose goes to "hunt" for a turkey. All his friends join him on the "hunt." They eventually find the turkey and force him to come back to Mr. and Mrs. Moose's house. Being that it's Thanksgiving the turkey "knows" what's going on and is quite frightened. As it turns out, they just wanted to have him as a guest at their table and he sits down to eat acorns, alfalfa sprouts, parsley, leaves, and other plants with everyone else.

I just thought it was a very cute book with a nice twist.
