Just curious,
I know that I feel cold when it's like under 75 degrees but I wouldn't set my thermostat that warm.. tempting as it is...

How warm do you set your thermostat?

thermostat.

My thermostat is usually around 70-72 right now. I am anemic and I get cold easily too.

thermostat.

Yeah mine is at 60 but I'm wearing a ton of clothes and am under my covers. Funny thing is it is going to be like 80 tomorrow

Depends on the season. During summer when it's really hot out the heat is never on During spring/fall when it's sort of chilly outside, the heat is on usually at 20C (68F) during the night and off during the day. During winter when it gets to be about -40 out, and that's not including the windchill, My heat is usually on at 25C during the day (77F) and during the night, though in really harsh nights I put it up to 30 (86F). And even then it just keeps it warm because it's hard to counteract how freaking cold it is outside. Usually we try to keep heat loss down as much as we can, we insulate all the windows every winter with plastic, wear sweaters, multiple blankets, etc. But we have a fireplace in the basement, and no matter how much we insulate it and cover it up, it sucks out hot air and brings in the cold really easily, we're looking into plugging it up permanently because we never use it anyways.

We try to keep the heat off as long as possible, but once it's on we keep it to what's comfortable in shorts and a t-shirt. At least two of the kids and I have sensory issues and can't stand wearing a lot of clothes. I think it's around 75 now. The place we lived in for two years before we moved here was a basement apartment, and although we didn't have to pay for the heating bill, it was horrible because the thermostat was in the upstairs apartment and we couldn't control the heat. The first year, the guy was never home and always kept the heat really low. We had to turn the oven on to heat up the place. Last year, we had somebody new upstairs and she always kept it so hot we had to open the windows.

My thermostat is set to around 70-72 right now. It's about 35 degrees outside. On the weekends when i'm home all day, i'll sometimes crank it up to 75. But, i'm always cold. My hands, feet, and nose stay permanently frozen all winter long no matter what i crank the thermostat to. Even though heat is included in my rent i can't bring myself to turn it up any higher. I used to rent a mobile home and we'd have the thermostat there at 78 all winter and we'd still need to run a space heater to keep warm.

thermostat.

I can't wear pants to bed. It just bugs me for some reason. During the day except in winter I keep the heat off. When it starts getting cold at nights we put it at about 73-74. During the winter it gets sooo cold because we have a metal trailer so I keep it at about 76-77 at nights. Im a wimp when it comes to the cold tho!

thermostat.

Our heat only seems to stay warm when it's actually running. As soon as shuts off it's cold again. And it never really even gets that warm. It's so annoying. Sad Anyway, I usually keep it at about 72-75...but it's always so cold!

thermostat.

we keep ours at 67, were thick pj's to bed, and have a portable space heater we keep in whatever room we are in. its still always cold in my opion

thermostat.

it's been cold here, so when we are home during the day, it's around 65-67. over night, it's between 63-65 in my room and about 65-67 in my kid's room. i have serious sinus issues and get dried out real easily, so it has to be a bit cooler for my sake. we've been bundling up clothes wise.

thermostat.

It's been getting pretty cold here lately, like 35-40F so we've been setting it at 72. The other day it was actually 50 out tho! Woohoo! I can't stand being cold in my own home and now that I don't live with my parents I can have it on whatever I want instead of 65.

thermostat.

i keep ours at 68. the downstairs is cold but the upstairs is hot

I guess I'm the odd one here - I can't STAND being hot and I need to sleep covered with blankets... I usually keep my house freezing. I have the theramostat turned all the way down (I think 55?) but I live in an apartment building and have lots of windows, so it's still pretty warm. It's around 35 degrees out now and I think I'll probably end up opening some windows. In the winter, the heat rarely comes on, but in the summer, I have the air conditioning blasting constantly. I really really do not like heat.

thermostat.

We don't put our heat on until it starts getting to be in the 50s at night. Then we keep it at around 68F and keep the fireplace burning. My room gets really cold at night anyways (at about 57F), no matter what the heat is up to though so I have to have a space heater seeing as Landon and I co-sleep. Otherwise, I like for it to be freezing when I sleep and wrap myself up in tons of blankets... oh I can't wait to do that again once Landon's outta my bed.

thermostat.

the warmer the better, i say! sadly my family does't agree...mom likes to keep it at 70-ish *brr*

thermostat.

i keep it at 75 at night and i turn it off during the day when i'm not home. were not quite at freezing. and it kicks in really fast i keep it at 70 when im home

thermostat.

73...we live in Nor Cal and when it gets under 60 degrees outside it's freezing, lol.

thermostat.
