Yay I am so excited.

(x-posted) alright, i'm gonna stir things up a bit... could we maybe pick something that is not so far south? it is nearly impossible to get to the aquarium by subway coming from grand central. we all are coming from the north. why not pick a place in manhattan, like one of the museums? or the bronx, like the zoo or botanical gardens? the aquarium is located at the most southern tip of brooklyn- both driving and training it are gonna be huge pains. what do you think? were you particularly attached to the aquarium, or can we explore other options?

the met has just a suggested donation. you could litterally drop a quarter in it. or we could met and go to the central park zoo... lets show charlie manhattan and the skyscrapers!!!

I will go wherever you girls are. I don't know my way around so getting anywhere will be a pain in the ass..

http://www.hopstop.com/ is really helpful. i have used it a bunch, and well only had one problem, which was on a weekend when they were doing subway work. but during the week it should be fine. and we still ended up where we needed, it just took longer. it looked easy to get to the aquarium from grand central. and the stop for the aquarium is RIGHT there on the Q I should be at grandcentral by 10:30

I am totally there this is gonna be great considering that i have not yet met up with any other girl moms! the central park zoo is also really nice if you want to be outside. it is a bit small but they have the petting zoo and stuff. it's 8$ to get in to both the zoo and petting zoo... i just took gabriel last week. i am not sure exactly where the aquarium is in bklyn but i am sure i can find it. hop stop is really good if you are looking for directions.

ok so the aquarium, then is everyone down for going on the staten island ferry after or when it gets dark, depending on how kids are and if they are cranky or not?

oh my god, danielle- did you notice that our travel time on the subway is over an hour with two transfers, plus transfer time?! eek. i don't want to complicate things again, because the actual place has been up in the air thanks to me, but if charlie is cool with manhattan, it would save the rest of us that extra distance and money. the central park zoo and the SI ferry seem completely do-able because of the closer proximity to each other and the train station we'll be leaving from. you each have my cell phone # now, so feel free to call if you want to clear up this mess, ha ha.

Aww shucks ilana...how could you go w/o me? If only this had been a couple months ago...I'm sure you all will have a blast tho! You can see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island from the ferry.

haha i know i will get lost too, good thing we all have cell phones. I swear what is with these kiddo's? Alexa woke up at 5am with croup. now that she has had a breathing treatment into her shes fine. but it always has to happen!
