I've recently come down with a bad cold and I was wondering if it relates to a decrease in my milk? The past day or so I've had to give him a bottle of frozen breast milk at bedtime since he was crying for more after coming of the breast. I have plenty of milk frozen so I can do this, but I was just wondering if its because of my cold that this is happening?
Are you taking any cold meds with Sudafed (pseuphedrine) in them? That can decrease milk production. So can lack of fluids and not enough rest.
Also, at around 3-4 months a lot of babies go through a growth spurt or start teething, so want to nurse all the time.
decongestants can do that to you. anything that constricts tissue. poor guys. i hope you both feel better soon!
i havent been taking any meds. just trying to drink more juice and water... maybe he's just having a growth spurt. thanks for the input!
