Sounds like they just have the personality qualities he's looking for. I tend to date older guys who are attracted to the fact that I'm just not a kid anymore. single moms aren't desperate or willing to settle (it is so damn hard to break up with a BD, anyone who sticks with it and sticks up for herself in the process is one strong lady) single moms don't need anyone. they already know they can do it on their own. therefore, any relationship that comes along serves purposes like companionship or hot sex or something rather than filling a void or whatever. single moms make the best lovers. they know what love is so they rise above all the kidless people who are questioning it and focus on sharing that love that they are so good at giving, with their partner of choice. single moms make the best people to date. its not like they have every opportunity to sip martinis and practice looking bored, so when they DO go out, they are going to do their best to have a good time. single moms have their shit together. they know where they are going and have a plan to get there. they don't waste any time. single moms are strong. some of the strongest people you'd ever get to meet. i have a partner now, but i was a single mom for 4 years of my child's life. i had my insecurities like anyone else, but i never got down on myself for being a single mom. it was one huge wikkidawesome thing that i had going for me. it made me tough, strong, different, and interesting. i always figured my partners were lucky to have me. heh. hope you feel better soon, and no more comparing your lovelife to your bd's! that will mess anyone up... ps: i would never congratulate any guy or girl for dating single moms. that is way too close to it being like charity or something, community service maybe. that probably wasn't anyone's intention but i do not take kindly to the idea of it being "awww SO NICE!!!" that someone would date a single parent. more like "how lucky for THEM" that a single parent would take time out of their life to date them, period.

single mamas are super responsible but we still know how to PARTY! We probably have more settled in life than most people our age- we have goals, dreams, and visions of our futures for not only our sake but for the sake of our children. we are always moving foreward in life we have good support systems (GIRLMOM) so we arent always crying on our significant others shoulder we get up early and always have a full day ahead of us. we are responsible spenders!! and dont go too crazy with our money because we know where we NEED to spend it. we dont take life for granted we dont really care too much if you dont like us, because no matter what, you will never be as important as our kids. and no matter what, our kids will always give us all the love we will ever need from anyone. and even if you do break up with us, we still know that we can rock on as super kick ass single girl moms!! We got things together, we don't need partying to validate ourselves, we quite content on sitting home on the couch, watching a movie or playing games with the kiddo, then doing our own thing when they are in bed. We're motivated and fucking rock, we don't need others to validate ourselves and we're all so damn strong and have been through so much ... damn, ew can act like kids and have fun, we know how to entertain a kid while doing house work, ...
